Send an email to every
Assembly member: (Update: Bill is on the Assembly board vote
for 3/25/2021!) Ask the Assembly to support the bill.
Subject: Let's make Animal
Trunk Fighting a Felony. Vote YES for A3231.
Body:
I am happy to hear that it's likely that A3231 may be
considered for a Supplemental Board List for March 25th.
When this happens, please vote YES for the trunk fighting bill
(A3231)!
The bill has widespread support. It unanimously passed through
two Senate committees and the full Senate. On January 27,
A3231 unanimously passed out of the Assembly Agriculture
committee.
"Trunk fighting": In this atrocity, gamblers force two or more
dogs into a trunk of a motor vehicle, then place bets on which
animal will survive. To evade police, the perpetrators drive
around. When the fighting noises cease, they open the trunk to
collect on their bets.
Thank you for your consideration.
